The Unexpected Life

It's been a while since I have blogged. My life has been up and down for a while now. There are so many things going on that sometimes I can't catch my breath, or stop my head from spinning, let alone, finish a book!

Two weeks ago we found my step-daughter, who has been missing for eight years. Her mom took off with her one day, in fear that we would take custody. She ran and hid my husband's little girl from him. We've been looking ever since, and finally found her on facebook. We now have custody of her, because her life with her mom was less than perfect - to say the least. So, we now have two 14 year old girls living in our house instead of one.  It is amazing and complicated all at once. Our life changes have definitely effected my writing and ability to just think straight. However, my writing partner, Jennifer, has been pushing me to get back on track with a slew of e-mails while we work about new ideas she has. So - we are writing a couple of short stories to accompany our first book in the Awakening Series, Birthrights. We are hoping to get those short stories online sometime soon - barring any other unexpected  life changes.  :)
