Moonlit Dreams

Kesha and her song Tik Tok hit a milestone last week with the most digital downloads for the week. Somewhere in the ballpark of 610,000 people purchased this song.

I still remember the first time I heard the song on the radio. I was listening, thinking 'okay, it started off with a decent dance beat' and then she started singing. At least I think she was attempting to sing. I thought, momentarily, that she may have been crying out for help, but then I listened to the lyrics as best I could. They are by far the most retarded lyrics I think I have ever heard in a song that actually got air time on the radio. Are people not listening to what she says? If all you wanted was a good dance beat there are plenty in this world to be had. PLEASE, don't feed any more money into this ignorant song!

For those of you who haven't heard it, I won't make your ears bleed by redistributing the music, but here are some of the assinine lyrics used:

“Ain't got a care in the world, but got plenty of beer
Ain't got no money in my pocket, but I'm already here
And now, the dudes are lining up cause they hear we got swagger
but we kick em to the curb unless they look like Mick Jagger

I'm talking about everybody getting crunk, crunk
boys trying to touch my junk, junk
gonna smack him if he getting too drunk, frunk

Now, now we go until they kick us out, out
or the police shut us down, down
police shut us down, down
Po po shut us ...”

Ewww for even mentioning Mick Jagger's old ass in a song.
Seriously, this is what people want to hear? And the worst part is it sounds just as bad as it reads! I am about as tone deaf as they come and her vocals are what I sound like when I sing in the shower, after everyone has left the house, the neighbors are gone, and the dog has been put outside because I don't want to torture anyone. Please, Kesha, oh I'm sorry Ke$ha, honey I know you can sing better than this, I heard you in Flo Rida's song, it wasn't that bad.

I don't know what has happened to decent music and lyrics you would be proud to have written, but this has gotten out of hand. Sadly, there are at least 610,000 people who are stupid enough to have bought into the idiocy of it all. Congratulations, we are one step closer to watering our fields with Gatorade, because it has electrolytes!

And for now, that's what I think...
